Engineering with intent.

I'm a Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Finance Engineering team at Sony Music in London, where I build and own financial systems end-to-end, from a platform serving 100k+ artists and labels to the caching and data layers underneath it. My toolkit spans Python and FastAPI on the backend, React and TypeScript on the front end, and AWS (Lambda, ECS and SQS) to tie it all together.

Before Sony Music, I interned at eBay UK, where I pitched the winning idea and led my team to win the company's Global Hackathon, and built parcel-tracking and analytics tooling with Java and Spring. I hold an MSc in Computer Science (Distinction) from the University of Birmingham and a BSc in Management from the University of Nottingham.

Outside of the day job, I mentor early-career engineers through Bridging Barriers and run Greenidge Goods, a Caribbean food brand I built from the ground up as a nod to my roots in Barbados.

Where I've been.

2023 – PRESENT

Full-Stack Software Engineer, Finance Engineering

Sony Music · London

Built and owned a financial analytics platform end-to-end serving 100k+ artists and labels, using Python/FastAPI and React/TypeScript.
Architected a Redis caching layer from concept to production, cutting API response times by 99% (2.14s to 5ms).
Optimized Snowflake SQL queries and dbt models, cutting execution time by 95% and saving thousands in compute costs.
Architected an event-driven distributed system using AWS Lambda and SQS, processing 1M+ attachments with sub-second latency.
Discovered a critical authentication vulnerability and led the remediation, migrating to OAuth 2.0/JWT with Auth0 and Neo4j RBAC.

eBay UK

Pitched the winning idea and led a team of 5 engineers to win eBay's Global Hackathon (1 of 900+ teams), building a Java/Spring and React app that earned eBay's Leaders' Choice Award.
Built a parcel-tracking UI integrating the Google Maps and Places API into eBay's distributed infrastructure.
Boosted conversion by 10% through Kotlin-driven UI/UX enhancements on mobile and web labelling flows.
Built session-replay analytics tooling that cut bug triage time by 75% (2 hours to 30 minutes).
